ABOUT ADEX Beijing 2017 & Beijing Ocean Week 2017
From 31 August to 3 September 2017, ADEX Beijing was held at the China International Exhibition Centre (Jing’An Museum) Hall 5, successfully co-organised with Shenteng (Beijing) Science and Technology Trade Co.Ltd. The China International Exhibition Centre (Jing’An Museum) is one of China’s first exhibition centres, and ranked among the “Top 10 Buildings” in Beijing in the 1980s. In 1985, it hosted the first “Asia-Pacific Expo”, which preluded China’s modern exhibition industry boom. The exhibition centre houses eight pavilions, each boasting an indoor area of 53,000 square meters and an outdoor area of 7,000 square meters.
With over 30 years of development, it annually hosts more than 100 small and medium-sized exhibitions with its impressive measurement of over 1 million square meters. With the highest occupancy rate amongst exhibition venues, the China International Exhibition Centre has been widely welcomed by both foreign and domestic exhibitors, making it a fitting location to host the dive industry’s biggest expo in Asia.

ADEX Beijing was held in conjunction with Beijing Ocean Week, a series of festival celebrations with an educational focus on conservation and diving that attracted tekdivers, freedivers, speakers and mermaids. It was also supported by The Pacific Society of China. In addition, the ADEX Voice Of The Ocean Competition 2017 was held during Ocean Week, with live judging of underwater photos, videos and art by a panel of world-renowned judges.
The event attracted both diving enthusiasts and organisations in the diving industry from all around the region, with a total of 22,856 visitors over four days.

With a history spanning 24 years, ADEX is the biggest and longest-running dive expo in Asia, becoming one of the most popular events in the industry. Since its handover to Underwater360 (UW360), ADEX has seen significant expansion in size and variety over the past eight years.

ADEX brings together distinguished VIPs and speakers from across the globe, some of which include scientists, marine conservationists, underwater photographers and videographers. ADEX is also a platform for various businesses such as dive operators, equipment manufacturers, and national tourism boards.

In 2018, ADEX attracted a total of 62,079 people over the course of three days. Participants were treated to an exhibition of the latest gear and technology, fantastic deals on the best dive courses and trips, and engaging talks by the industry’s leading figures.

The event is endorsed by major organisations in the industry such as DEMA (USA), Singapore Tourism Board (STB), and the China Underwater Association.
